Default Convert all Everlasting Tonics for use in explorable areas

Convert all Everlasting Tonics for use in explorable areas.

Now that there are over 30 new everlasting tonics that can be used in explorable areas why not make all everlasting tonics that way?

I said in my original post that the new ones can be used in explorable areas so why repeat that??? My question is about all everlasting tonics.

I don't see why not. I always wanted the Trapdoor tonic, but I never saw a point since I couldn't use it in an explorable. I'm considerably more happy that I never wasted the ecto to buy a Yuletide or Transmogrifier tonic now that the Bday tonics aren't limited to outposts.

I wouldn't be disappointed if they allowed the others to be used in an explorable, but I bet they don't want to go through the hassel.

If the new ones can be used in explorable areas then the others should be able to as well.

To make the birthday ones special, most likely.

I'm not sure this technically works or works well on all tonics.

- Most of the birthday tonics are heroes/NPCs
- All of them display weapons (even destroyers)
- Some tonic forms may be lacking cast, melee, or knockdown animations

Technically you could probably make it go ahead anyway, but I think anet wants to retain important player feedback, like what weapons you are holding and when you've been hit with a knockdown. We could see some tonics converted, but there are issues with others.

maybe you should read this link....

"Kuunavang doesn't display weapons. The ele that had the tonic was fire. Showed casting animations and the attack animation came from the chest-ish."

Doesn't the restriction on tonics being used in explorables come from some models not having all proper animations? I'm surprised at the idea that all of the birthday tonics are usable in those areas.

If a lack of proper animations is no longer an excuse for tonics to not be usable like this, then I see nothing wrong with changing all tonics to work this way. There's no reason to restrict it to just the everlasting ones.

The kunvie tonic does sound like the one broken one... not sure what Anet is thinking anymore. They didn't allow ursan to turn you into a bear for similar reasons...

Nope. You get the "error" message: This item cannot be used in competitive missions.

Tried it on 6ht year tonic and some monthly EL ones.

/signed on topic. All tonics must be usable in all pve areas.

But you'd have to make ANet work on actual animations for the other EL models/sprites. (OMG MAKE ANET DO WORK)
The reason why they made these new EL tonics heroes/henchies is because their animations had already been rendered for use by their in-game counterparts.

I think they have way more important things to work on instead of tonics currently.
